Nigerian legend 2Baba Idibia was disgraced after he was made to perform to a half-empty concert hall in Kigali, Rwanda. Idibia arrived with 2face Idibia’s concert program at the Kigali Serena Hotel, but the seats were almost empty. Concert of 2face Idibia was held for the second time in the country and his first visit was in 2006.

He was invited into the East African country by Belinda Umurerwa CEO of Kigali Entertainment, but what happened on that day left behind many questions for show organizers.

The event was scheduled to begin at 6 pm, but it started at 11:30 pm. The singer came on stage to the half-empty hall to welcome less than 50 people. The ‘African Queen’ star was after several hours of dialogue between his management and the organizers of the show and he was doubted whether to go out on stage.

He apologized to the little audience and promised to create 'unique' performances:

“Hello, Kigali. I know you’re very few, but we don’t want to talk about whatever happened. I am going to do a unique show for you that managed to come”, he said.

As a result, Idibia went on to perform about five songs including ‘If Love Is A Crime,' ‘True Love,'  ‘Blind,' and ‘African Queen’ before his manager, Efe Omorogbe gave him a sign to left the stage.

According to Rwandans, the show, which promised to be fantastic, did not take place due to the inability of organizers to effectively contribute to promoting the show. Efforts to speak with 2Baba or his management proved abortive as at press time.
