Surprisingly, the biggest newborn baby appeared not via Caesarean section – the birth was vaginal. It turns out that the mother of Jasleen, a record holder, was undiagnosed with gestational diabetes, which doctors have revealed just now. This condition usually develops after 24 weeks of pregnancy and can lead to overweight baby birth.

Fortunately, the mother and the little girl felt right after the operation. But still, the doctors for a while placed Jasleen in the NICU.

Jasleen has taken away the title "biggest new German"  from the boy Jihad, who was born in Berlin in 2011 with a weight of 13 pounds. But at the same time, Jasleen became the biggest newborn in the world.

In March, British mom Jade King George gave birth to a boy weighing 15 pounds and 7 ounces.

And in Texas in 2011, a child weighing 16 pounds and 1 ounce was born, named JaMichael Brown.

But to round up, the biggest newborn baby which is listed in the Guinness Book of world records was born in Ohio in 1879, the Canadian Anna Bates with a weight of 23 lbs and 12 oz. But, unfortunately, the boy died after 11 hours.
