Shekua vs. Barnawi: Why did these two Boko Haram leaders clash?

Two clashing Boko Haram leaders faced in northeast of Nigeria. Followers of Abubakar Shekua were attacked and destroyed representatives of Abu Musab al-Barnawi. The civil defender helping armed forces against Boko Haram confirmed collisions between the resisting fighters. The expected war at last broke out among leaders of the most deadly terrorist group in the world, Boko Haram, after the sect was divided into two fractions of followers of Abubakar Shekau and Abu Musab al-Barnawi. Months passed since contradictory separation of sect, which promised commitment of Syria. After ISIL refused Shekau leadership, declaring desire that Barnawi accepted a line item as the leader of Boko Haram, there was a strong alienation, which is imminent between leaders. Shekau refused to leave and insisted that he still is responsible for Islamic terrorists of Borno State. Under Shekau leadership, the mutiny destroyed at least 20000 people from 2009 and forced more than 2.6 million to leave their houses.

Sources in northeast of Nigeria say that between these two fractions there were deadly firefights. Armed forces of Nigeria aim to break rebels as a result of long counterattack. According to AFP, which obtained information from the citizen living in Borno, the Barnawi fraction began fight last week on Thursday, September 1 against Shekau fraction, the camp of which was located in villages of Yele and Arafa. Mele Kaka told that during battle in Yele, attackers destroyed three people from Shekau camp, wounded one person and took one on them as hostage while several people were destroyed in Arafa. He also told that fighters from Barnawi camp previous day attacked the bandits loyal to Shekau in Zuwa village in the neighboring area of Marte, having destroyed unknown number of them. An incident forced villagers to run away. The area became the place of fight between the divided terrorists now. Kaka said: ‘Fighters of Barnawi told villagers after the attack that they fought against other camp because they turned away from true jihad and destroyed innocent people, plundering their houses. Such actions break Islam and jihad.’ News about collision didn't appear in telecommunication in northeast of Nigeria. Armed forces couldn't confirm news about such fight among two camps and leaders of Boko Haram, but civil defender helping armed forces against Boko Haram told that there were collisions between the resisting fighters.
