Following Diezani Alison-Madueke news? Learn about her health condition, her life and biography.
Over the last few days there have been numerous rumors on the possible death of the ex oilminister of Nigeria Diezani Alison-Madueke. For several months now it has been widely known that she suffers from cancer. This disease has made her change her fancy mansion rooms for the hospital wards.
For a long while both her family and advocates have even denied the fact of her being sick. However, of late it has become confirmed with new photos of the fading politician being spread online. There is no more doubt she is suffering and people start wondering will she be able long enough to celebrate the Christmas Eve in the hospital? What do you think?
Of course, such a serious and terminal disease as cancer evokes pity and compassion even if a person suffering from it has been known as one of the greatest Nigerian looters among the politicians. Some people say it comes as a punishment onto a mortal who dares to break the higher commandments. Still, compassion and mercy are the best reactions to such events. Even Kind David never rejoiced at the fall of his enemies, but pities and prayed for them instead. So, these festive days let us not allow our hearts to be marred with undue feelings, but rather be filled with compassion over the suffering soul.

Diezani Alison-Madueke biography, facts and rumors
This woman has a pretty controversial reputation in Nigeria. Many people suspect and blame her in stealing billions of naira. Nevertheless, she has been able to accomplish several key things in her life, quite crucial and fateful for Nigeria. Diezani was born in 1960 in Port Harcourt. In 2006 she has become the first ever female Executive Director in Nigeria.
She has gotten her education in US attending Howard University and studying architecture. Later on she continued the education by enrolling into Cambridge University to get her MBA. By many this lady is considered to be one of the smartest and most educated women in Africa and in Nigeria in particular.
Her political career has begun in 2007. Back then she has been appointed Transport Minister in Nigeria.
In 2010 she has become one of the ministers in Jonathan’s cabinet. It has become a rather fateful position for her – the position of Minister for Petroleum Resources.
And again, she has become the pioneer in the field, as no woman has held such a position before in this country. Moreover, in 2010 she has become the first lady ever who went to OPEC conference as the delegation head. As you may see, she has done much pioneering. Naturally, when you become the first one you tend to make many mistakes. The conflicts and accusations for the first time have taken place back in 2008.
She was accused of misusing over 30 billion naira. No official charges were stated. The same year there was an attempt to kidnap her, but it has failed. In 2009 she was indicted, but no allegations were made against her.
Finally, the year 2015 has brought an arrest of Diezani Alison-Madueke. She has been taken by the NCA in London.
Later on we got the news of her being treated for cancer while still performing her official job duties.
All this controversy has been able to mar her reputation, still we should not forget that the fuel scarcity (experienced by Nigeria right now) was rare and minimized during her tenure. This woman has some lessons to teach us. Certainly she has made mistakes and might have done many wrongful things, but we should remember the good things done by her for her nation and people and in some ways (such as education, pioneering and perseverance) follow her example.
