Atheists believe that there is no God, Christians believe that there is a God.
Neither can prove if there isn't or is a God, they instead have faith in their belief that there isn't or is a God.
Therefore Atheism is just as much a religion as Christianity is it not?
Perhaps religion is too strong a word to describe Atheism as it doesn't have the same rigid structure in ones life which other organised religions demand of it's followers (it instead only relies on it's adherents not to believe that there is a God).
Perhaps belief system would be a better way to describe Atheism?
I regard myself as an Agnostic as I can't be religious because I need proof that there is a God and I can't be an Atheist as I need proof that there isn't a God.
Sitting on the fence can be real fun.
