What is so important about prayers? Learn more about it!

We feel that God is involved in all that happens in our lives through prayer. Therefore, the prayer to God is very important.

The conversation with God shouldn’t be just a routine. It has to be the most desirable thing to do and the necessary part of your day. There are a lot of things in our lifetime that we will only be able to overcome with God’s help.

People often ask why there is a need to pray and to ask God for anything, if he already knows what we need. Here’s a thing. We don’t pray to God to ask something. There is no doubt that in some cases we ask Him for his assistance in various everyday circumstances. But the main idea of the prayer is not that.

God can’t be just our "emergency" in the earthly affairs. The main content of the prayer should always remain a desire to communicate with God, to meet him.  Praying is necessary in order to stay with God, get in touch with him and to feel his presence.

Prayer is a dialogue.

It includes not only our appeal to God, but also the response of God Himself. As in any dialogue, it’s important not only to speak but also to hear the answer.

Sometimes God's answer comes immediately during the prayer but in other cases it happens later. Sometimes we ask for the immediate help from God and it comes just a few hours or days later. But we understand that it happened only because we asked God for help during the prayer.

A lot of troubles, sorrows and misfortunes happen precisely because people forget about God. In fact, there are even believers among the criminals.  But when they are committing a crime, they don’t think about God.
