What was the first higher institution in Nigeria?

The University of Ibadan is one of the oldest tertiary schools in Nigeria. It was founded back in 1932. Its current name the school got in 1962 and prior to that it was called Yaba college. It was moved from Yaba to Ibadan in 1948. Kenneth Dike was its first vice chancellor. Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria can also be included into our list, as it was founded back in 1962. Another old school is University of Nigeria, Nsukka, founded back in 1960. One of the oldest universities in the world was the University of Bologna, founded in 1040.
