Joseph Yobo started professional career in Standard in 1998. He debuted in team's line-up in 2000 and played for club 46 times. In 2001, he was bought by Marseille. Recently the chairman of League Management Company reported that the famous football player would shortly join joining four-time Nigeria League champions, Kano Pillars. 36-year Yobo played more than 1 hundred times for the national team of Nigeria. As the ambassador of LMC, he signed the contract to play a major role in the main team of the country for further increase in competitiveness of league. The chairman of LMC told journalists in Lagos that the team agreed that Yobo is ahead of the other opponents.
